The Oyo Oracle had been silent for many days, and the people of Oyo were growing restless. They had come to the Oracle seeking answers, and yet he had not spoken a single word.
Finally, on the fourth day, the Oracle spoke. His voice was deep and powerful, and it echoed through the temple.
"The gods have spoken," he said. "They have told me of a great danger that will soon befall Oyo. A great darkness will come, and it will bring death and destruction. Unless the people of Oyo can find a way to stop it, all will be lost."
The people of Oyo were horrified. They had never heard such a dire prophecy before. They begged the Oracle to tell them what they must do to save themselves, but he only shook his head.
"The gods have not revealed the answer to me," he said. "But they have given me a sign. When the darkness comes, look to the sky. There you will find the answer."
With that, the Oracle fell silent again. The people of Oyo were left with nothing but fear and uncertainty. What did the Oracle mean by his prophecy? What did the sign in the sky mean?
