The sun had just set, and the night was beginning to take over the small town of Oakwood. As the darkness descended, the townspeople began to feel a strange sense of unease. It was as if something was lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce.
The source of this feeling was the old abandoned mansion on the edge of town. It had been abandoned for years, and no one dared to go near it. It was said that the mansion was cursed, and anyone who dared to enter it would suffer a horrible fate.
That night, a group of brave adventurers decided to investigate the mansion. They had heard the rumors and wanted to see if they were true. As they approached the mansion, they could feel the air around them become colder and heavier.
The group slowly made their way up the stairs to the front door. As they reached the top, they could see a light coming from inside the mansion. They cautiously opened the door and stepped inside.
The group was immediately met with a strange sight. The entire mansion was filled with cobwebs and dust. The furniture was covered in a thick layer of dust, and the walls were covered in strange symbols and writing.
The group slowly made their way through the mansion, exploring each room. As they did, they began to feel a strange presence in the air. It was as if something was watching them from the shadows.
Finally, the group reached the last room. As they entered, they were met with a horrifying sight. In the center of the room was a large stone statue of a woman. Her face was twisted in a look of terror, and her eyes were filled with fear.
The group quickly realized that this was no ordinary statue. It was the cursed statue of the Phantom Mansion. The group quickly ran out of the mansion, never to return.
From that day forward, the townspeople of Oakwood stayed away from the Phantom Mansion. They knew that the curse was real, and they did not want to risk their lives by entering it.
The Phantom Mansion still stands today, a reminder of the curse that still lingers in the air.
