The sun had set and the night sky was filled with stars. In the center of the city of Ibadan, the Oracle of Ibadan stood atop a hill, looking out over the city. He was an old man, with a long white beard and a staff in his hand. He was dressed in a long white robe, and his eyes seemed to pierce the darkness.

He had seen the birth of new religions, and the death of old ones. He had seen the rise and fall of civilizations, and the coming and going of generations.
