The Oracle of Ile-Ife and Ibadan was a renowned figure in the ancient kingdom of Ile-Ife. He was known for his prophetic visions and his ability to interpret the will of the gods.
The Oracle had been summoned to Ibadan by the King of Ibadan, who wanted to know what the future held for his kingdom. The Oracle went into a trance and began to speak in a strange voice.
"I see a great battle between the two cities of Ile-Ife and Ibadan," he said. "The outcome of this battle will determine the fate of both cities. I see a great warrior from Ile-Ife who will lead his people to victory. He will be a great leader and will bring peace and prosperity to both cities.
The Oracle then went on to say that the warrior would be born of a great family in Ile-Ife and that he would be known as the 'Son of the Sun'. He would be a great leader and would bring peace and prosperity to both cities.
The King of Ibadan was pleased with the Oracle's prophecy and he immediately set about preparing for the coming battle. He sent out messengers to all the villages and towns in the kingdom to spread the news of the prophecy.
The people of Ile-Ife were also excited by the Oracle's prophecy and they began to prepare for the coming battle. They gathered their forces and began to train for the coming battle.
The day of the battle finally arrived and the two armies met on the battlefield. The warriors of Ile-Ife fought bravely and eventually emerged victorious. The Son of the Sun had led his people to victory and the two cities were united under his rule.
The Oracle's prophecy had been fulfilled and the people of Ile-Ife and Ibadan were now living in peace and prosperity. The Oracle was celebrated throughout the kingdom and his name was remembered for generations to come.
