Ibrahim and Olufunmilayo arrived in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, in the late afternoon. As they stepped out of the airport, they were immediately struck by the city's beauty. The streets were lined with lush green trees and the air was filled with the sweet smell of flowers.
The two of them spent the next few days exploring the city. They visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which was a sobering reminder of the 1994 genocide that took place in Rwanda. They also visited the Presidential Palace, the National Museum, and the local markets.
At night, they would take long walks around the city, admiring the vibrant nightlife and the beautiful views of the city from the hills. They also sampled some of the local cuisine, which was delicious.
On their last day in Kigali, they visited the Nyamata Church, which was the site of a massacre during the genocide. It was a powerful reminder of the tragedy that had taken place in the city.
The two of them left Kigali with a newfound appreciation for the city and its people. They had experienced a unique culture and seen some of the most beautiful sights in the world. They were sad to leave, but they knew that they would be back someday.
