Part 2: The Expansion of the Viking Empire (962AD-965AD) "The Rise of the Vikings: A 962AD Memoir"

The Viking Empire was born in 962AD, when the first Viking king, Harald Fairhair, united the warring tribes of Norway under his rule. This marked the beginning of the Viking Age, a period of unprecedented expansion and conquest.

In the years that followed, the Vikings embarked on a series of raids and conquests that saw them expand their empire across Europe. The first target was the British Isles, which they invaded in 965AD. The Vikings quickly established control over the region, and by 966AD they had conquered most of England and Scotland.

The Vikings then turned their attention to the continent. In 968AD, they invaded France, and by 972AD they had conquered much of the country. In 973AD, they invaded Germany and by 975AD they had conquered much of the country.

The Viking Empire continued to expand in the following years. In 980AD, they invaded Italy and by 985AD they had conquered much of the country. In 986AD, they invaded Spain and by 990AD they had conquered much of the country.

The Viking Empire reached its peak in 995AD, when it stretched from the British Isles to the Mediterranean Sea. The Vikings had established an empire that was larger and more powerful than any other in Europe.

The Viking Age ended in 1066AD, when the Normans invaded England and defeated the last Viking king. But the legacy of the Vikings lives on, as their conquests and settlements had a lasting impact on Europe and the world.
