Part 4: The Siege of Ile-Ife "The War of the Two Kingdoms: Ile-Ife vs Ibadan 1488AD"

The war between Ile-Ife and Ibadan had been raging for months, and the Ibadan forces had been slowly gaining ground. The Ile-Ife forces had been pushed back to the city of Ile-Ife, where they had made their last stand.

The Ibadan forces had surrounded the city and had begun a siege. For weeks, the Ibadan forces had bombarded the city with arrows and stones, and had attempted to breach the walls with ladders. The Ile-Ife forces had held their ground, but their supplies were running low and their morale was beginning to waver.

The Ibadan forces had also begun to build siege towers, which would allow them to fire arrows and stones into the city from a greater height. The Ile-Ife forces knew that if the siege towers were completed, their city would be doomed.

In a desperate attempt to break the siege, the Ile-Ife forces launched a daring night raid on the Ibadan camp. The raid was a success, and the Ile-Ife forces managed to destroy the siege towers and drive the Ibadan forces back.

The Ile-Ife forces had won a great victory, but the war was far from over. The Ibadan forces had been driven back, but they were still a formidable force and would soon be back to try and take the city. The Ile-Ife forces knew that they had to prepare for the next battle, and they steeled themselves for the coming fight.
