The news of the Oracle's prediction spread quickly throughout Ile-Ife. Everyone was talking about the prophecy and speculating about who the princess of Ile-Ife would be. The King was determined to find out who the princess was, so he called for a grand celebration to be held in the palace.
The King invited all of the eligible young women of Ile-Ife to the celebration. He asked them to bring their most precious possessions and to wear their finest clothing. The King wanted to find the princess of Ile-Ife, and he was sure that the woman who had the most beautiful and valuable possessions would be the one.
At the celebration, the King and his courtiers were amazed by the beauty and wealth of the young women. But one woman stood out from the rest. She was wearing a dress of the finest silk and her jewelry was made of gold and precious stones. She was also carrying a beautiful fan made of peacock feathers.
The King was sure that this woman was the princess of Ile-Ife. He asked her to come forward and she did. The King asked her if she was the princess of Ile-Ife and she replied that she was. The King was overjoyed and he welcomed her to the palace with open arms.
The King declared that the woman was the princess of Ile-Ife and that she would be his bride. Everyone in the palace was filled with joy and the celebration continued late into the night.
The next day, the King and the princess were married in a grand ceremony. The King was so happy to have found the princess of Ile-Ife and he was sure that their marriage would bring peace and prosperity to Ile-Ife.
But little did the King know that his happiness would soon be shattered by a terrible betrayal.
