Chapter 7: Finding Peace in the City
The streets of Lagos were a chaotic and dangerous place. But despite the danger, there were moments of peace and beauty to be found.
For me, the most peaceful place was the beach. I would often go there to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I would sit and watch the waves crash against the shore, feeling the sand between my toes. I would watch the sun set over the horizon and feel the warmth of the sun on my skin.
I also found peace in the markets of Lagos. I would wander through the stalls, admiring the vibrant colors and smells of the produce. I would chat with the vendors and learn about the different cultures and customs of the city.
I also found solace in the parks of Lagos. I would sit on the benches and watch the children play. I would take in the beauty of the trees and flowers and feel the cool breeze on my skin.
Finally, I found peace in the people of Lagos. Despite the poverty and danger, the people of Lagos were always kind and welcoming. I would often chat with them and learn about their lives and their struggles. I found comfort in knowing that I was not alone in my struggles.
Finding peace in the city of Lagos was not easy. But I was determined to find it. I was determined to find moments of beauty and solace amidst the chaos. And I did.
