The group of time-travellers arrived in London, England in 1381AD. They were immediately struck by the hustle and bustle of the city. Everywhere they looked, people were bustling about, going about their daily routines.
The group made their way to the palace, where they were greeted by a guard. He informed them that they were expected, and that the King was waiting for them.
The group was ushered into the throne room, where the King of England, Richard II, was seated on his throne. He was a young man, only in his twenties, but he had a regal bearing that commanded respect.
The King welcomed the group warmly and asked them to sit. He then began to explain the politics of the time. He told them about the ongoing conflict between England and France, and the various alliances that had been formed. He also spoke of the importance of trade and how it had helped to make England a powerful nation.
The King asked the group about their own backgrounds and what they knew of the time period. He was impressed by their knowledge and asked them to stay for dinner.
