Part 3: The Turning Point: 1942-1943AD "Time's End: 1945AD"

The year 1942 marked a major turning point in the war. The United States had officially entered the war in December of 1941, and the Allies began to gain momentum. In the Pacific, the Battle of Midway in June of 1942 was a major victory for the Allies, and the Japanese were pushed back. In Europe, the Allies began to gain ground in North Africa, and the tide of the war began to turn.

In the summer of 1942, the Allies launched Operation Torch, a major offensive in North Africa. This operation was a major success, and the Allies were able to push the Axis forces out of North Africa.
