The next morning, the family was up early. They had a lot to do. First, they had to find out who sent the strange letter.
They decided to go to the post office and ask the postmaster if he knew who sent the letter. When they arrived, the postmaster was very helpful. He told them that the letter had been sent from a small town called Blackwood.
The family was intrigued. They had never heard of Blackwood before. They decided to take a trip there to investigate.
When they arrived in Blackwood, they were surprised to find that it was a small, sleepy town. There were only a few people living there, and they all seemed to know each other.
The family asked around, but no one seemed to know anything about the strange letter. They decided to go to the local library to see if they could find any information about the letter.
At the library, they found an old book about the history of Blackwood. In the book, they discovered that the letter had been sent by a woman named Abigail Blackwood. She had lived in the town many years ago and had been a recluse.
The family was intrigued. They decided to go to the old Blackwood mansion to see if they could find any clues about the letter. When they arrived, they were shocked to find that the mansion was haunted!
They searched the mansion for clues, but all they found was an old diary. In the diary, Abigail had written about a secret she had discovered in the mansion.
The family was excited. They had finally found a clue! Now, they just had to figure out what the secret was.
