The sun had set and the night had come, but the group was still exploring the mansion. They had searched every room and hallway, but still hadn't found any clues to the mystery. Suddenly, they heard a noise coming from the hallway. It sounded like someone was walking around.
The group cautiously made their way down the hallway, but when they reached the end, they saw a shadowy figure standing in the corner. It was tall and thin, with a hood covering its face.
The group froze in fear. They were too scared to move. The figure slowly turned its head and looked at them. It seemed to be studying them.
Suddenly, the figure spoke. "You are looking for the secret of the haunted mansion, aren't you?" it said in a deep, raspy voice.
The group was too scared to answer. They just stood there, not knowing what to do.
The figure stepped forward and removed its hood. It was a woman with long, dark hair and pale skin. She smiled at them and said, "I know the secret. I can tell you, but you must promise to keep it a secret."
The group nodded in agreement. The woman then began to tell them the story of the haunted mansion. She explained that the mansion was once owned by a wealthy family who had a dark secret. They had used dark magic to summon a powerful spirit, which haunted the mansion ever since.
The woman then told them that the only way to break the curse was to find the family's lost treasure. She said that the treasure was hidden somewhere in the mansion and that it was the key to unlocking the secret.
The group thanked the woman for her help and quickly left the mansion. They were relieved to be out of the creepy place, but they were also excited to find the treasure and solve the mystery.
The next day, the group returned to the mansion and began their search for the lost treasure. They searched every room and hallway, but still couldn't find it. Finally, after hours of searching, they stumbled upon a hidden door in the basement.
Behind the door was a small room filled with ancient artifacts and a large chest. Inside the chest was the family's lost treasure.
The group had finally found the secret of the haunted mansion. They quickly left the mansion and never looked back.
The group never returned to the mansion, but they never forgot the mysterious woman who had helped them. They never knew who she was or where she had come from, but they were sure that she had saved them from the curse of the haunted mansion.
