The next step in my journey as an undocumented immigrant was finding a job. I had no idea where to start. I had no connections or contacts in the United States, and I had no work experience. I was starting from scratch.
I decided to start by looking for jobs online. I searched for jobs that didn’t require a work permit or Social Security number. I applied to many jobs, but I was rejected from most of them. I was starting to feel discouraged, but I kept trying.
Eventually, I found a job at a local restaurant. It was a low-paying job, but it was a start. I worked hard and eventually I was promoted to a higher position. I was grateful for the opportunity, and I worked hard to prove myself.
I continued to look for better job opportunities, and eventually I found a job at a local factory. It was a much better job than the restaurant, and it paid more. I was able to save some money and eventually I was able to move out of my friend’s house and into my own apartment.
Finding a job as an undocumented immigrant was difficult, but I was determined to make it work. I worked hard and eventually I was able to find a job that paid enough to support myself. It was a long and difficult journey, but I was proud of what I had accomplished.
